Issues with dsl firmware using embeded, when it shouldnt.
DANMOH009
So ive done this a few times with no issues but all of a sudden ive hit a bit of a brick wall and dont know where to go next.
I have a 1921 with a VA-DSL-WIC card. Im aware that they use the same dsl firmware as the 887VAs.
So ive uploaded the firmware to flash.
Then ive eneterd config under the vdsl controller to show that so...
controller vdsl 0/0/0
firmware filename flash:vdsl.bin
modem UKfeature under controller vdsl 0/0/0
the vdsl.bin file is in flash
i shut/no shut the vdsl controller
but when i do show controllers vdsl 0/0/0
the firmware shows as using the embeded - im wondering if anyone else has been through this before, and if so any ideas of what i cant try next?
Cheers
Dan

Not sure if it's related but you've fallen prey to some really dodgy Cisco docs here (or somebody else's misintrepation of them)
The line "modem UKfeature under controller vdsl 0/0/0" should just read "modem UKfeature".
The "under controller vdsl 0/0/0" part means the command needs to be entered in vdsl interface config mode.
I was caught out by the same thing..
