I thought it was an ok deal for just getting some hands on time, but then I saw the shipping costs.

If you just want to practice CCNA level commands, Packet Tracer will suffice.

With the shipping and minimum bid I would skip that listing.

I also think you can skip kits and buy on piece at a time if you are just starting out. As you learn you will have a better understanding of what you want to own rather then what someone said you would need. Kits are great if you want a full setup to start using next week but you will pay for that convenience.

    Good Luck.

The routers are older and the shipping is a joke. People do that sometimes on eBay...scammers. If you spent a little more $400-600 you can find better kits with free shipping.

There are people/companies selling exclusively Cisco gear on eBay, and they do it for a long time and are very professional. Those are the sellers you want to buy from, browse their eBay stores.

Don't buy premade made kits 99% of the time they are rips offs!!! especially on ebay, older equipment with limited ram/flash.

For $50 you should be able to get a 2-4 of 2950 switches then use gsn3 for the routers or if you want hardware routers look at the 1721, 1751 and 1760 (avoid the other 1700's as ram/flash isn't expandable) or 2600xm's

You will want a couple of wics and serial cables to go with the routers -wic1t or wic2t

Take your time when buying equipment and on ebay don't get suckered into a bidding war.
