How long Should I be employed with an employer before listing it as a reference on my resume?

Akaricloud Member Posts: 938Honestly, it depends. I think everyone would agree that a two-month contract that's your first experience should be listed whereas if you took a two-month contract between jobs after 10 years of experience it shouldn't be listed.
How much work experience do you have? Did the position include more advanced tasks than your previous one? Are you able/ready to explain your short stay in a positive way? Is it relevant towards what you're applying for? -

Held various temp positions for a yr Non related to IT.
Currently working in a Tier II Support position at a major Cable provider in the Call Center. Been here about 2 months. Hours suck, but benefits are good.
Supporting Internet, Phone , Cable.. Would this be defined as a help desk position?“The Only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it keep looking. Don't settle” - Steve Jobs
