Well yesterday we had a surprise safety inspection. I was the only one at the entire facility who was written up for safety/fire hazzard conditions.

I'd love to see a pic of your desk in its current state, LOL

    Standard cube farm here..

I used to work for an MSP and I had some pretty sad 'offices'.. I once got sent on-site solely because I was the skinniest guy in our department and their server room entrance was so short I had to walk in sideways and take off my backpack.. I've gained a couple pounds since then and don't think I'd fit now icon_sad.gif

I work 100% from home as well. Yes I like the Foo Fighters.

My desk at the home office at my old place. It looks about the same at my new place... just have not taken an updated picture. Getting a new desk by end of year.

  • My cubicle is spartan; nothing superfluous and nothing personal. When I leave for the day, my workspace looks like no one works there.

Alif, did you clean your room up before taking the picture? That floor looks like it was just Vacuumed lol.

Vinny, have you tried using Synergy? It may save you a keyboard/mouse on that table.

Here is an image of my desk at home:

I vacuumed the whole house yesterday, including my office. No I didn't vacuum it specifically for this picture. I'm a very neat person and I hate clutter, lol.

I'm so jealous of everyone who gets to work from home! I'll be seeing FF for the 4th time later this month :)

I'm jealous of you getting to see FF this month! I've seen them 3 times (best one was when they toured with Weezer). Still waiting for them to come back to Florida so I can see them again!

BTW, I don't know if it's just me, but working from home is actually getting boring. I do love the freedom I have, but I do miss working with other people in an office.

Alif, what size is that room? As soon as winter comes I'll start building a new office in the basement and that size looks good for what I have in mind.

About 10'x12'. It's not too big.

That keyboard and mouse on the top part of my desk no longer exists. When the picture was taken, I was testing out that keyboard and mouse before putting it up for sale. :)

My space when we moved into our new building. A bit more cluttered now, LOL... laptop docking station, 2 monitors, phone, VDI setup, 2 ipads, another laptop, family pictures, WGU diploma, GIAC cert, Green Bay Packers stock certificate, books... you get the idea. (I'd put up a picture of it if it didn't look so bad!)

I was there for a Raspberry Pi/Electrical Engineering meetup last winter. I loved that office.

I want to work from home...

My last job I worked from home 2-3 days a week, I loved that. I was still able to get plenty of interaction with my coworkers but saving that commute a few days a week was awesome. I'm (hopefully) starting a new job soon where they mentioned occasional working from home is fine, when I get more comfortable there I'd love to extend that "occasional" to frequent.

I work from home 100% as well. One of the main reasons I won't consider other job offers, lol.

As far as my home office, nothing fancy. I'll post a pic when I get a moment. I have a table with a pc, two monitors and laptop. And last but certainly not least, my big cushy chair, lol.

Lot of folks working from home, interested in what you all do. I'd love to work from home, even if it meant a decent pay cut.

I'm working now lol. Its got its ups and downs. If your not careful you can get burned out by never feeling disconnected from work. I have been turning off my phone, iPad and not getting on a computer most weekends which helps.

What I do, for the most part is remote tier 2 support of whatever might need fix'n. I also do some project management (small things, like new wifi for a small business or planning a server upgrade and preparing documents according to whatever the clients processes require).
