Newbie Here
Hello Everyone! My name is Linda (if you couldn't tell from my username ). I just finished my first semester going for my associates as a network specialist. I have been looking into getting my A+ certification. I bought a Quick Reference book for the A+ and after reading some posts on here I plan to go and buy the Exam Cram also. I am using my 3 week break from school to study for these exams and hopefully will feel ready to take them before I start next semester. From what I have read in the Quick Reference book, everything on the exams was pretty much covered in the classes I took. I look forward to getting to know all of you.

C.Fountain Member Posts: 28 ■□□□□□□□□□Welcome to TE! I'm a bit of a noob around here myself, but I can definitely say that the A+ cert is a great idea! I don't know if you're planning to specialize after you graduate, or what your main goals are. But also getting the Network+ and Security+ certifications are usually a pretty solid choice. You might also want to look into Cisco certifications for network administration sometime down the road.
Just my two cents. Good luck! -
Xyro Member Posts: 623I came to wonder what classes you could have taken in just 1 semester that left you feeling almost fully prepared to take the A+ certification. I would urge you to take a look at Meyer's book just to be certain.
