Question about experience when deployed...

When a job posting states a certain amount of years experience as a minimum and you have the equivalent years do to your deployments as far as hours worked, would that qualify you for the job?
For example, if a position wants 10 years exp and you only have 8.....but if you include your 4 deployments as double time (84 hour/week is standard when deployed) now you have 12 years of equivalent hours worked. I know of a major defense contractor that accepts this. Not sure if this is standard across the board or applies on a company by company basis.
How would you put this on your resume, if you state 12 years and it only shows 8 the recruiter would think your full of it?

I don't think you can count working doubles as "Double Days". Working for a single company, a day is still a day, whether you work for 4 hours that day or 12. I put 6 years in the Marine Corps as a Network Administrator and I know I worked MANY hours during that time. The year count is still 6. That's the way I look at it.
Now, if you worked 2 different jobs (1 during the day and 1 at night) for 3 years, I would think you could put 6 years of experience between the two.If I gave good advice or was insightful, please add to my reputation!! Just put the number of years. Don't try to church it up and put 12 years and they only see 8.An expert is a man who has made all the mistakes which can be made. -

So with the above statement given the same standard would apply to persons in the reserves, even though they work 1 weekend a month. You would have 4 years exp in the reserves and that would be the same as 4 years deployed? There is a flip side to this.... -

Yes, if you were in the reserves for four years put reserve for four years. An expert is a man who has made all the mistakes which can be made.
