Winter Storm 2014 - Working from home

Anyone working from home today? I ended up traveling out of state (SC to MI) and now I'm trapped without a flight home (the airlines cancelled my flight three times). I'm working and staring at a lot of snow/wind/ice out the window. Ah well...

I skimmed your post and thought 50 isn't so bad you must be in florida. I looked at your location then reread your post and my eyes jumped out my head. Its 5 degrees in NJ I can't imagine it being -50 thats colder then the north pole right now. -

No option to work from home for me (the Division is very much against it, though I can do my entire job from my living room). But I don't have to go outside too much so it's not a bad deal at all.WIP:

Geek1969 Member Posts: 100 ■■□□□□□□□□It was -19 here in Iowa yesterday and -2 right now. The college I work for cancelled classes and closed all offices both days. Feeling like another 4 day weekend here. I'm keeping up on email and have one meeting via phone today, but other than that I'm not working.WIP:

traceyke Member Posts: 100 ■■□□□□□□□□It's -6 here, but thanks to 22mph winds it's actually -30 degrees. Oh, and we're projected to have a "high" of 0 degrees today. I live in the Metro Detroit area, but my job is located in Port Huron. Sadly, since I work at a manufacturing plant, there's no option for me to work from home. I still can't believe that my car started this morning.

Got down to 22 yesterday and today...we only get about 3 or so weeks of really cold weather, so I don't bother with buying a nice jacket (I'm cheap, sue me).
I don't leave for lunch, so when work is done, it's straight from the office, to the car, and then to the apartment.

Now I don't feel so bad about it being 5 degrees in NJ. Wish I could work from home but really that is only about 1/4mi away anyway. -

coreyb80 Member Posts: 647 ■■■■■□□□□□It's been crazy in Chicago since the winter began. We've been slammed with snow and then yesterday we woke to -13 with the windchill -50. The office was pretty much empty yesterday. Woke up to -8 today and it's suppose to warm up this weekend to the 30s which will probably feel like 70.WGU BS - Network Operations and Security
