how can i blook aport or open it ,i using FTP server and many time i cant connect to to that server
how can i check for port if open or not or please can u help me that was sensetive to my work.

what is the methos to blook ports or open it
if i use mackafee fire walaa how can i blook or open or what is the tools

Are you behind a router that provides NAT? Is port forwarding directing port 21 to you ftp server?

You can use this site to determine if the port is opened or closed. After you get that info you will be able to determine if it is a port forwarding problem or ftp setup problem.

thanks for reply and i want to explain to you the situation
i own acompany which networked between to offices one located in egypt and the main in kuwait and i want after i end my job to block the port 20.21 response for FTP server how can i do this or if that was possible using firewall i used mcaffee firewall. thanks very much to ur reply

IMO, it would be better to close that port at the router. What kind of router are you using?
