voice lab setup help

i want to learn some cisco telephony, im thinking of buying

cisco service router 2801

i've seen the following mentioned but not quite sure what they are used for,
vic2-4fxo
vic2-2fxs

also, do i need a switch with poe ? i already have 2 cisco voip phones that i can use.

Yes I think you'll want a 3560 PoE switch for the phones.

do yourself a favor and avoid the 2801! Spend the extra few bucks and find a 2811 or a 2821, which have been cheaper on occasion! You'll probably get 64mb flash, if so try to find 1g memory instead. It'll hold everything you need for practicing on CME.
