Passed Redhat Certified Systems Administrator in Redhat Openstack - CL210
chanakyajupudi
Just passed the CL210
[h=1]Red Hat Certified System Administrator in Red Hat OpenStack[/h] based on Redhat's own product the Redhat OpenStack.
The exam was also taken today. Results came in 4 hours of the exam getting over which is a miracle in itself. I usually wait 2-3 days for the results.
I prepared using the Redhat ILT class held in Person in Hyderabad, India. Student guide is the go to for this exam.
Any questions please feel free to get in touch.
257/300 ! Thats a decent score !
Cheers

chanakyajupudi
Thanks Piotr and shyguyIT.
Piotr : Exam is pretty straight forward. No tricky questions of any kind.

Thank you. Do you think that official docs from RedHat website are sufficient to pass this exam?

You could learn a lot from the official documentation and yes, that is enough.

How much is the cost adarsh ? both training and certification ?
chanakyajupudi
30 grand rupees. I did an offer thing for 20 grand rupees
brombulec
That's a great deal ... we have a much higher price for an exam in Eastern Europe - It's about 1200 USD.
For the course is about 4000 USD
I don't understand why RedHat forces that high prices. For full track for RHCA I can get package: bootcamp for CCIE R&S (with as many retakes as I want), 4 or 5 exam attempts including airplane tickets and hotels to the test facility.
It's crazy ... and RHCA is not recognized as a valuable cert on the market as the CCIE (rs, sec, dc, sp).
Anyway - great offer for you

@chanakyajupudi
So , 30000 Rupees .. :hmm :
where in Hyderabad ?
@brombulec
4000 $ in India .. :O .. cant imagine ... hehee
2,50,000 Rupees .. Can do a Master Degree here ..
chanakyajupudi
The Course and exam I did with an Institute called Amrita.
brombulec
Lucky you
I could go to India just to get my hands on official materials and take an exam for 30K rupee.
Is it possible for foreigner in your country?
chanakyajupudi
Yes it possible. Redhat is the only company other than Cisco to allow foreigners to write exams here. We have a lot of people come and do all the courses they want and go back.
brombulec
Hmmmm it's quite interesting. 30k ruppe for a course + exam?
And I assume that course is not in english?
chanakyajupudi
Course is in English bro !
401 , 436 and 442 are taught by Redhat Employees themselves at the cost of 1000$ for course and exam with free retake and a gift hamper.
413 , 429 , 318 are taught at ATC at the cost of 400$ per course and exam with retake at 20$ and a gift hamper in case you pay for 2 exams at once !
brombulec
Please tell me that this is true
So I have to contact the training facility and reserve a hotel for one month and take 4 courses in a row ...

Hello, could someone describe the exam in terms of following ? Thanks.
Which operation system is tested on ? RHEL OSP/ RHEL/Centos ?
Does it require you to install openstack on RHEL with packstack or forman ?
Is it possible to access redhat documentation ? if so which sections are relevant ?
Any examples of tasks ?
darkerosxx
Can't share exam details, sadly, just use the red hat documentation to study and you'll do well.

For the version 3 and 4 it was acceptable. You should refer to exam blueprint for version 5.
