I'm interested in some feedback regarding the CUV1 class for anyone that's taken it. I was told by my mentor that it is a beast of a course, and is a challenging class. I took the practice exam without looking at any of the material and scored a 88%. This really doesn't seem to be that challenging, and I don't have much web design experience, but most of the questions on the practice exam seemed to be "what does fireworks do" "what stage of the planning cycle is ____" .
It looks like maybe a week at most of brushing up on HTML/XHTML, basic javascript syntax, and image file formats and properties... From some googling, I've seen similar reactions from other mentors that this is a challenging course. Just looking for a little guidance here..I'm not too particularly thrilled to go through the entire pdf collections for this if I don't need to.

tecke Member Posts: 52 ■■□□□□□□□□The pre-exams for all of the CIW assesments that I have passed seem highly similar to the actual exams and if you are scoring a 88% without even opening up the learning material I would suggest for you to schedule the assesment. It would be a good idea in the mean time to go over the exam objectives and dig deeper into the areas of knowledge that you are lacking. Do not let your mentor slow you down, you have proven your indvidual compentence of this material and will do fine on the real exam.

CoolAsAFan Member Posts: 239That class was extremely basic and easy if you have any experience in IT at all. In fact, all of the CIWs were very straightforward and pretty easy. With the certs you have now, and the score you got on the PE, I would say go ahead and request the voucher and schedule the exam.
My mentor started off much like yours, not wanting me to do certain classes in the time frame or order that I wanted. Then I busted out 4 classes and got OTP in just a month and all of sudden my mentor tells me now that "I have proven myself", that I can do pretty much whatever I want pertaining to classes.
