So close to my degree I can taste it

Just wanted to post since I'm currently enrolled in WGU but never really posted anything on my progress. I only transferred in about 4 credits from a community college when I started and completely forgot to see if any of my credits from the military would transfer over. I also had an A+ going in which gave me some credits but all in all It's taken me about two years so far to get 20 CUs away from my bachelors. That two years also includes a small period where I dropped out and then started back again as well as changing degrees from network administration to programming to security and lost some CUs in the process.

Right now I've gotten every IT exam and every objective assessment out of the way so all I have left now are projects and papers. That alone is a lot of weight off of my shoulders because I don't have to worry about whether or not I've studied enough for an exam and whether I'm going to pass or fail. I'm working on QBT1 right now and have until the end of may for my current semester which started in December. I expected to need one more semester after this one to finish my degree but at the rate I'm going now, since I finally decided to pick up the pace and stop slacking, I may not need another semester. I've knocked out 23 CUs so far since December but I did get a head start and began working on the two Java programming projects in-between semesters. When it's all said and done, I'm going to be pretty happy to finally have my bachelors degree.

I've got about 30 days left in this term and I've got QLT1, the technical writing paper and the capstone left to go. I've done all of QLT1 and the technical writing paper so I'm just waiting for next semester to submit it in-case anything needs to be revised. I was worried about the length of the technical writing paper until I remembered that QBT1 had a lot more writing. From what I've heard, the capstone paper is just a matter of making some slight revisions to the technical writing paper so hopefully I'll be done pretty soon.

For the capstone I didn't even make revisions to the ordinal paper. I just added on the two sections and appendixes and it was done. took me about fours hours. If you already have the work done and you don't plan on rolling into the masters program you should just go for it this term.

Yeah but I wanted to put off paying those student loans for another 6 months. By the time I've got to pay them off, it would have been a year and I'll hopefully have another raise by then.

You can always defer your student loans. I didn't pay my federal student loans until almost 18 months after leaving school. (Deferment + 2 grace periods.)

WGU is so affordable. I went to the Net Price calculator and it said per academic year it would cost me $8,570. I'm looking forward to getting my MS degree from there.

It shouldn't even be that high either. Looks like the calculator is adding a fair bit of other expenses that might not even be needed in most cases.
