OptionsJDMurray Admin Posts: 13,031 Admin"Information Assurance" is about preserving the secruity of information (data, intelligence, etc.) in any context. "IT Security" is specifically about the security within an Information Technology department or organization. So you can say that IT Security uses IA, and that IA is used in many other contexts than just IT.
