Why a Cisco cert? Why not MCSE 2012?
    Modularity and Design Simplicity:

Think of the 2:00 a.m. test—if you were awakened in the
middle of the night because of a network problem and had to figure out the
traffic flows in your network while you were half asleep, could you do it?

It all depends on what you want to do.. we can maybe suggest a path to take depending on what you want to do but without knowing we can't really help. So give more details icon_thumright.gif

I've worked as a windows system admin for about 5 years, and did quite a bit of systems engineering in that role. My windows skills are quite good but my networking/ Cisco isn't.

I'd like to move into infrastructure engineering/ system engineering/ architecture role in the long term.

Hope thats what you were asking :)

I started just like you: MCSA 2k8 and then CCNA.

The funny is that I got addicted do networking, now I'm not even considering windows administration anymore lol

Well, it's not too big of a choice honestly. Your choice is take the CCENT or the composite CCNA exam. All other Associate level exams require a valid CCENT or CCNA.
