Hi guys
Iam looking to buy books for both the 680 and 685 exams and would like to know what people used to pass. also if there are any more resources you can recommend i check out.
i am currently looking at either http://www.amazon.com/MCTS-Self-Paced-Training-Exam-70-680/dp/0735627088/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1392431271&sr=8-1&keywords=70-680 or http://www.amazon.com/MCTS-70-680-Cert-Guide-Configuring/dp/0789747073/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1392431271&sr=8-2&keywords=70-680 for 680, for the 685 exam i am not sure. Also this book looks good http://www.amazon.com/Windows-Portable-Command-Guide-70-680/dp/0789747359/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1392431271&sr=8-7&keywords=70-680.

bub9001 Member Posts: 229 ■■■□□□□□□□I will add my 2 cents since I am on the downhill slope of the 70-685. I liked the Don Poulton's book fro 70-680 and the Darril Gibson book for 70-685 or 70-686. I didn't get any of the Microsoft books, because I have heard they are ok. And I also wanted to get more hands on with the topics so I would fair well in the exams and real life usage of the knowledge.
For Videos CBT Nuggets, Professor Messor, itfreetraining.com, and Youtube.
For the Lab setup I am going to link another thread that I have listed the various tiers so to speak of Labs for Windows 7 exams.

A site I just found a few days ago was Cram.com, this has flash card and games to help with memorization of material.

Also I will give you a helpful hint that I have heard more then once from MCSA's of Windows 7. Microsoft tends to test your knowledge on the New stuff in Windows 7. So make sure you hit up Technet.Microsoft for guidance on what Microsoft considers New in Windows 7.

Poulton's 70-680 book is also excellent and I thought it actually helped with the 70-685 as well. I was able to pass both exams between Poulton's 70-680, MS Press 70-685, and Prof. Messer.

Also many recommend this book Windows 7 Portable Command Guide: MCTS 70-680, 70-685 and 70-686: Darril Gibson: 9780789747358: Amazon.com: Books for both the exams and on the job.
