VCAP5 DCA (5.5 beta)

Hi I noticed that there is the VMware Optimize and Scale 5.5 Beta course running.
Would this mean that there is going to be a VCAP DCA 5.5 beta exam soon?

I am a couple weeks away for booking my VCAP5 DCA exam

Yes, there is one in development, but even when it does go live the older 5.0 exam will remain available for a period of time - like VMware have done for the VCP5-DCV with the old VCP510 exam and the new VCP550 exam.

If I were you I'd plough on with your preparations for the current 5.0-based DCA exam.

My DCA is planned for June but my lab is based on 5.5 .. I guess I will decide nearer the time whether I just wait or go ahead with the 5.0 anyway ..

Note that traditionally the exams are simply updated in-flight. DCV and VCP-Cloud have 5.5 updates in parallel with 5.0 but nothing has been announced.

I do not believe a DCA update has been actually announced short of "well, we *are* updating the others <nudge> <nudge> <wink> <wink>"
