Hey guys,
I just passed CCNA but unfortunately my company uses brocade. Is there any way to get virtual labs for brocades? I have access to the brocade training but haven't found what I needed expect videos and books which help.
Thanks in advance.

fredrikjj Member Posts: 879You probably want a trial version of the Brocade Vyatta 5400 vRouter and build some kind of topology with a bunch of them. Don't ask me how to actually do it though.

Certs: RHCSA, LFCS: Ubuntu, CNCF CKA, CNCF CKAD | AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Solutions Architect Pro, AWS Certified Security Specialist, GCP Professional Cloud Architect
Learn: Terraform, Kubernetes, Prometheus & Golang | Improve: Docker, Python Programming
To-do | In Progress | Completed -

Both will give you a good idea of how to configure features you should already know from CCNA, and the IP Primer will introduce you to some of the differences in terminology between Cisco and Brocade. Just step through some basic config tasks, like configuring a trunk port, an access port, voice VLAN (dual-mode), creating an LACP LAG, setting up a stack, etc.
Lots of good study guides here, but you'll probably have some difficulty tracking down the various documents in question (a common problem with Brocade's website). If you get stuck trying to find the docs, PM me and I can upload them to dropbox or something.

I have a youtube channel with a lot of Brocade stuff.

Brocade is extremely easy, one of the hardest things about learning Cisco and then moving on to a more standards based switch like Brocade or HP is unlearning the unneeded complexity that Cisco throws in. I am shocked when Cisco guys are confused by non-Cisco switches, they are similar enough but almost everything requires fewer keystrokes.
I just re-read one of your posts, are you running VDX switches? Those are the only ones running NOS (everything runs a form of the FCX image) in which case there are very few differences between NOS and Cisco IOS. -
devils_haircut Member Posts: 284 ■■■□□□□□□□I'm in a similar boat. I'm less than 30 days away from taking my CCNA, and I just started working with a company that is 90% HP networking gear, with a few Cisco wireless devices thrown in the mix.
I'm hoping the transition goes smoothly, because I'm not stopping my studies to change to HP after coming this far. -
jahaziel Member Posts: 175 ■■■□□□□□□□Thank you for your suggestion guys. I'll let you know how my studies come out. Only trying to study for 2 weeks.
@ Devils_haircut I'm only doing it to help the company out and get a good performance review and start working on switches and routers. As of right now I like Server more then networking but its all fun to me at the same time. -
