Extremely vague question that can't be answered. What do you want? What do you need them for?

Different circumstances benefit from different certs.

The best depend on what you want the certificate for, if you are an IT auditor CISA may be best, etc

Realize that the CEH is a "Hacking+" cert and isn't close to the other three. You are comparing an 8th grade diploma to three Masters degrees.

CISSP? The cert that turns you into a "Hey, this should be looked at but well, I can't fix it but someone should" Engineer? lol

Unfortunately that is accurate for a lot of CISSPs out there that I know.

It's a good thing the CISSP isn't meant for engineers then.

Aside from CISSP, I still see a lot of CEH in job listings. HR departments and recruiters must eat it up. I also see "Security+ or CISSP preferred." Ha, they're slightly different.

I'd rate it more like:
CEH - GED
Not really something to be proud of but better then nothing.

CISSP - Bachelor's degree in General Studies
Doesn't really prove competency in anything, but proves you can comprehend general concepts.

CISA - Bachelor's degree in Accounting
You know how to run the books. You know how to do the paperwork and maybe understand some of the tools.

CISM - Bachelor's degree in Business Management
You can manage people. You may not understand what their doing sometimes, but you know generally what they should do.

So, basically if you have none of those (and in security related field) - high school dropout with no GED?
