Stubborn BIOS password
Do you guys have a effective way of dealing with BIOS password's? we have used various software tools here and have a few laptops which all have passwords but we currently are having problems removing them

^^I've used this on a few different brands, and so far it has worked great. Just type the BIOS password incorrectly 3-5 times until you get the error code, then run that error code through the appropriate script from his website. It should give you the password.
I know it doesn't work on every brand out there (IBM/Lenovo especially, since they rely on a TPM). -
White Wizard Member Posts: 179Removing the CMOS battery will reset the BIOS password, be sure to remove it for a few minutes then re-install.
I know this is a laptop but taking them apart isn't all that difficult so long as you have a way of keeping track of where each screw goes.

Most modern laptops don't have a CMOS battery, hence the scripts. So it will really depend on how old OP's laptop is. -
