Basically, the questions is in the thread title. What type of projects do you work on? Is your work much more administrative than technical or is there somewhat of a technical side to your duties?

    Ill bite.

Im not a typical project manager, but I do manage projects since I don't have a project manager at the moment.
When we have a project I typically do the following things.

    1. Identify task to be done and who will be doing them.
    2. Keep track of the task in an excel spreadsheet. (most clients like this as they all don't have M$ project)
    3. Keep meeting notes, and send out meeting invites and host meetings.
    4. Keep track of all email that went in and out pertaining to a project.
    5. Keep track of deliverables from the client and us.

    6. MOST important. KEEP the MEETINGS and the PROJECT MOVING!.

Thats pretty much all I do. There is much more to it that I should be doing, but when I have the project manager hat on, I don't do any technical work unless I really have to. I just keep track of whats going on and push for things to get done or push back on unrealistic goals.
