I will advice you to go for what you like most. You know IT field is very wide and you have to choose your orientation (Network administration, Security, programming, auditing, etc) after choosing your orientation then only someone can guide in certifications. otherwise no one can tell you the certification that you should do.

I'm with maharaliel on this one. Go on the Internet and look into the different positions in IT. Find people you know who are in the field and talk to them about what they do. This is not a day's work. Take your time, you don't need to rush this. If you make an informed decision now, you will benefit from it a lot in the future. Find out what you like. In order to understand that, you need to put in some time.

The road to security is long and hard, imo. Natural progression is helpdesk/NOC -> system/network -> security. But of course, you could be one of those who get into security from the start, either straight into security or through auditing.
Security is a broad field ranging from technology to strategic security. Even then, there are many subsets. For example, Technical security deals with firewalls, intrusion detection, encryption, viruses/malware, network security, etc. Then you have information/strategic security - risk management, business continuity, regulatory compliance all the way to cybercrime, nation state interests, politics, etc.
You are 17 and still young. My best bet is start with security+ to get a general basic idea of security and the industry. Then maybe it will give you enough understanding into what field you want to narrow down to.

Come back to us after sec+ and let us know what you want to get into or what your interests are (by then you should have a better understanding of what you want to do), then we can point you better.
