Greetings! Is anyone familiar with the RODP Bachelor of Science in Professional Studies with IT concentration degree? It is the only 100% online degree program I can find in my area as of right now (school is ETSU, i live in Knoxville) My question is, if anyone is familiar with it: Is this degree respected by IT companies/firms/other employers as if I had the traditional IT degree? Or is this a joke degree?

thanks!!

Looks pretty thin on IT, only 15 credits worth. Personally, I'd go with something heavier on the tech stuff.

edit: Looks a little pricey too. Not to sound like a broken record, but have you looked at WGU?

I have looked at WGU, but I saw that for the IT degrees one must have previous IT experience or an Associates in IT, of which I have neither. I have lots of credit hours taken over the years but nothing in the IT field. Is the IT requirements for WGU only a suggestion?

edit: This is a whole new venture for me, and I honestly don't even know where to start. I have better than laymans knowledge on computers (which isn't all that much really) and I'm usually the one to fix family computers, but that is mostly due to my google-fu and no actual knowledge.

Worst case, you spend $150 and get a CIW Web Foundations cert, it's very easy.
