Good start?

Would a trio of certifications consisting of A+, Network+ and CCNA look good to employers? I have no experience and I am obtaining these as a bundle program. What kind of jobs could I be offered?

No experience means tier 1 jobs. Helpdesk, Tech support, PC tech etc.
The certs may help get the interview, but experience is the key.

Yes they will help for finding an entry level job.

A+, Net+ will help with help desk

Those and CCNA would help with help desk as well or a NOC position if you are interested in networking.

The CCNA will help down the road. I know I would not hire someone as a net admin who has no IT experience... a little too much power IMO.

But honestly, you dont want that job yet anyway. It will give you a leg up in helpdesk interviews. Once at the helpdesk, you can see the kind of jobs that net admins (CCNA) and system admins (Microsoft/Linux certs) actually do and you will already be one step ahead of the game when its time to move on up!

Should one (with zero experience) bother with getting certified in A+ and Net+ or go straight with CCNA?

I think lots of places want them, but I thought the A+ was entirely worthless. I will say the Net+ gave me a good base of networking knowledge, and helped me get my first helpdesk job.

I certainly would not say the A+ is entirely worthless.

It is worthless once you are above entry level sure, but is nearly essential if just starting out and is the sole base requirement for the majority of entry level IT jobs.
