sim weighs more than an standard question...

Is this really the case?????? Any one knows how it works? I think there is roughly 2-3 Sim questions, are they all equal value? ?Do you get half marks for partially completed questions.

Can you get all Sim questions wrong & still pass the CCNA???? icon_redface.gif

yeah sims weigh more than regular questions.. i got 2 sim questions on my ccna exam. i think both questions weigh the same amount since they were of reletively the same difficulty... also, i dought you would get partial marks for doing some parts of the sim.. its a 0 or 100 situation with sims i think.
There are 10 kinds of people in the world, those that understand binary and those that don't.

IT certification exams never give credits for partially correct answered questions. That's how they do it at a school. You are supposed to learn a craft, in which configuring a router is essential basics.

What good would a CCNA be for a company if he or she cannot configure a router? The sims are really not that hard if you know your stuff...

    Thanks Webmaster & prolific

Can you still pass the CCNA if you get all SIM questions wrong??

I am sure you guys would have answered this question a million times, here it is again; I don't have Cisco routers & switches to practise my IOS commands. I am currently using a Sybex Virtual trainer, would this do me. I have browsed the RouterSim website & their LAB's are beyond my budget, however, they look like the real thing. Are there any Freeware or Demos that we can use?
    Thanks

Perhaps if you only get 1 sim and all other things right... but what's a CCNA that can't configure a router in such a basic manner...

Not sure, perhaps www.boson.com or ww.routersim.com provide a demo.

    good luck!

(and stop trashing our forums with the same post over and over please ;) )

He means that you should not make a new post. Just add something new to your old post. It will be sent to the top of the list for the posts and then people can see it again. If no one answers your question, then just politely ask again within the same post. I believe that's what the Webmaster means.

Ah, that will save me from banning you ;)

Please note that we are offering a free service offered by volunteers, we are not obligated to help you. But like Cheeblie said, just replying to the same post will take it to the top of the list and give it a bigger chance of being answered.

Nevertheless, I always accept an apology.
