Does anyone have specifically firewall -related interview questions?
I have a (technical) phone interview tomorrow for a position that calls for a lot of firewall experience, as well as "basic routing/switching", which I'll be fine with. I don't have as much hands-on as they called for, so I wanted to skim through some material for a quick refresher.
Any help is appreciated!

I had an interview like this about a year ago; they wanted to know some basic troubleshooting; how would you know if traffic can get to a destination IP; what if you can ping, but other traffic doesn't make it; some info about the 3-way handshake; asynchronous routing; how would you approach a firewall that had high cpu usage; change management; etc...
Don't forget to start with the basics; I went into a big long monologue about how I would test connectivity since this was a high level position and they guy basically told me to stop, he was looking for "I'd ping the remote IP".

Thanks for asking!
It went well, despite only a few firewall -related questions. Difference between stateful/stateless, a couple others, then he moved onto basic server and networking questions. A few generic questions too, such as my most interesting troubleshooting experience and the biggest takeaway at my current job.
I really doubt he's looking for someone who's at the same level of the questions he asked, so I anticipate a more intense in-person interview (if I get there).
