Maybe look into Boson's Product or GNS3 Vault, perhaps there are some on there?
Modularity and Design Simplicity:
Think of the 2:00 a.m. test—if you were awakened in the
middle of the night because of a network problem and had to figure out the
traffic flows in your network while you were half asleep, could you do it?
Forgot about that one, that should be good as well

This is a great resource with introducing using the technology behind the subjects.
Having been in this position and recently passed route...
I also recommend taking note of concepts while reading to come back and lab yourself. Most times these examples are already partially configured so it will require you to draw on some knowledge to make them work. This I believe is a great way to solidify the concepts. The simplified series also has a 200 page lab book at the back of the book. Great stuff there! I also paired my labbing with some GNS3 vault videos / other youtube videos to practice labbing some different types of scenarios with the person giving the instruction. If using youtube as a resource for videos I would make sure you stick to creditable sources like GNS3 vault, etc.
Currently Studying: IE Stuff...kinda...for now...
My ultimate career goal: To climb to the top of the computer network industry food chain.

gns3vault is the go for labs. I used the SLM and GNS3 vault. The labs in the SLM are pretty easy.
Also just lab things up that you think you need to know, try out the various show and debug commands and just get a feel for how it all comes together, every bit helps IMO!
Seconded. I started doing this after failing SWITCH once. Second time was much better . I used the same approach with ROUTE to great success. It's more time consuming as well but I feel like it gives me a better grasp of the concepts in action.

I am going to work through the SLM now.
Second that this is a fantastic book for labs.

ROUTE [X] :: SWITCH [X] :: TSHOOT [X]
I am screwing around with the labs when I have finished them.
