Best version of Server 2012 for lab?

Hi I have yet to dive into server 2012 and may go for the MCSA. If I do decide to which would be the best version to get? I can get Server 2012 or 2012 R2 and any version since I am a student. Thanks

Thanks, figured Datacenter just wasnt sure if I should get R2

Datacenter because it allows the most vms. R2 is a great add especially with the new material added in January.
