Cert/Exam I didn't take showing up on my Microsoft Transcript

Interesting thing happened today when I logged into my MCP..

Couple weeks back I took the 74-409 HyperV exam and passed. This entitles me to the Microsoft Specialist certification. The exam showed up as passed right, but a week went by and the cert didn't show up. So I reached out to Microsoft...

Microsoft indicated in fact I should have it showing, and they would escalate the issue.

A week went by, and I got an email indication I have a new certification.

I log in, and yay, the HyperV cert is there but WAIT... also is a different Microsoft Specialist certification, the 74-343 which is Managing Projects with Microsoft Project 2013 is now showing on my transcript.. I can even print it out...

So; do I self-report that cert? I didn't earn it, nor will I put it on my resume.

Or do I leave it alone and see if it comes off during an audit?

Up to you, but I don't want stuff in my profile that I haven't earned. I would ask them to correct it ASAP.

Someone is probably missing that cert from their profile, I'd certainly be pissed if I was the other guy and someone else could take credit for my work.

I would hope the upset person would take it on their own accord to correct their own issue, like I did..

I emailed MS and told them about the mistake, we'll see what they do. It was just an interesting thing to see..
