Just applied for a job in my area. it states that the roles would be as follows;
"Computer Operation; Initiating Bridge Lines; Conducting Code Turnovers; Processing Batch Cycles; Logging Incident Tickets;" . has anyone had experience in these particular areas or could explain what i would be in for should i be selected?

The other two parts sound like the usual help desk stuff. -

The other three are odd. -
Techguru365 Member Posts: 131 ■■■□□□□□□□yea, those are the ones puzzling me the most. have no idea what to make it. strangely enough I never took keen notice when i was applying. got an email just now say they would like to schedule a phone interview. guess i am nervous about calling them and getting asked about that stuff and sounding clueless

Russell77 Member Posts: 161Bridge lines are probably the point to point communication betwen facilities. This is probably a bank, broker or a big insurance company. They run big batch files most often at night to reconcile accounts and maintain backups. Not sure about code turnovers but it's probably not an intense job.

code turnover - qa?
processing batch cycles - loading data using batch files? -
Techguru365 Member Posts: 131 ■■■□□□□□□□just spoke to the technical recruiter for the company. Kreken explanation was pretty much spot on, though the recruiter didnt really explain code turnover. I was honest and told him I didnt have the experience in those areas, but that I was a quick learner. But I dont think they are looking to train anyone as he said they would keep me in mind for a upcoming help desk position. Oh well, at least it was a learning experience.
