Passed Network+ Today!
Passed Network+ today!
Well i have to say, overall i've really enjoyed studying for this cert, my first. The material was very broad and interesting for the most part, and although i spent maybe a little too long on studying for it, it's been a positive first certification experience for me!
The exam itself was very weird, got loads of very vague, sometimes pointless questions, there were even a few grammatical and would you believe it, spelling mistakes in the introductory text??
This is how i studied for it:
1) Primary Text: All-in-one Mike Meyers
2) Backup Text: Exam Cram 2 (N10-002 Version)
3) Exam Cram Network+ Practice Questions (500) including test engine cd.
Pretty much in that order.
The exam cram stuff is good for revision and practice before the test.
Good luck to anyone currently studying for the Net+

I take mine on Wed, so wish me luck! I'm sure I'll pass though, as you have to have a 90% on the 'final' (read, 4 practice exams) in order to get the 'test pass assurance'. This means that if I fail they'll pay for me to retake it up to 5x. If I fail a comptia exam 5x, I'll seriously reconsider my career pathI do not have a psychiatrist and I do not want one, for the simple reason that if he listened to me long enough, he might become disturbed.

I read 2 books, did the dell learning center, did techexams guide, did about 5 practice tests and geez.. I'm sure some other stuff.
Good luck to me on Wednesday!!Going to slowly study for 290. Baby due in May. -

I'm just curious which versions of this material you used?
1) Primary Text: All-in-one Mike Meyers
2) Backup Text: Exam Cram 2 (N10-002 Version)
3) Exam Cram Network+ Practice Questions (500) including test engine cd.
I'm hoping to take the test in February or March. -

The mike myers book was the latest one, isbn: 0072253452
Both exam cram books were n10-002 versions, i believe there are new versions out soon/now.
Good luck with your study
