Keep reading conflicting information about the following:
Measureup software that comes with the MS Press Book says that you do not need to install wuau22.msi on XP clients?
However a sample test on my signed up measureup software indicates that you do? Which one is correct?

I installed SUS on a server in my test lab and I didn't install anything on the clients. In order for my clients to look at the SUS server for the updates I used the GPO for the OU my computers were in and pointed them to the SUS server. Now they get their updates from my SUS server.

The Automatic Updates component comes with the XP SP1, the key is SP1. If you have a plain jane XP install you have to install wuau22.msi.

Ah ok, that makes sense; XP requires SP1 or must have wuas22.msi installed. Thanks for clearing that up!!
