The backlash is funny, but I still don't see this being adopted by mass market in social situations.

I'm very interested in seeing what developers do with them.

I was at the mall last weekend and saw somebody working at a sunglasses booth wearing one. I kept trying not to stare but I wanted to get a good real world look at what they look like on a person. It really did solidify my opinion that I don't want them.
