    Yeah, I cleared it. It's pretty straight-forward (super easy) and it has some repeat questions from the ACE exam. No to the demo; if you find one, lemme know!

    Has anyone done the Adtran certs? I am actually thinking of buying some switches from them, if there certs provide technical knowledge (and not just sales info) I would like to take a look.

    I did the Adtran ASTA/Internetworking as a refresher, and it was actually pretty good for a completely free online course. It was mostly technical, kind of like a miniature Network+ exam.

    $99 for a $269 certification at home instead of at a testing center? How the hell did they work that out?

    I haven't done the proctorU thing, but that big of a discount...Are we sure they're not charging $99 to proctor you at home while you take a $269 test that you paid for?

    Seems like simple business math to me. Online based anything, overhead speaking, is lots cheaper than brick and morter anything.

    And yes, it is $99 for those exams. Not 99 plus 269.

    It would seem that way, but the testing centers make barely anything doing this. Very little per test. The centers that I've been to (and the one my school runs) say that they lose money with what they get paid by the test providers. IE most of the money goes to CompTIA not the test center.

I made an account and they have launched or are launching free online training courses from things such as the CCNA, PMP, Sharepoint and numerous other useful IT related certifications.

    I took Project+ this way. It really is $99 to take the exam at home. I think its a limited time offef though

    Another great reason to become an IEEE member. I was amazed at all the learning materials/tools available. I just finished some labs on security and CEH - pretty damn good (Skillsoft courses)!
