70-680 Exam

I would like to take my 70-680 Exam and wanted a bit of advice. I would say I have some fair knowledge in Windows 7 but nowhere near skilled on some of the technologies covered. My question is the Second Shot promotion ends May 31st. I have the option of studying like a madman for the next 3 weeks take the exam on May 15th and if I don't pass take advantage of the Second Shot retake exam at the end of May or just forgot about the Second Shot give myself a couple of months of steady studying to prepare? I will say I currently do have the time to devote multiple hours a day to concentrate on prepping for the exam. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Well, It sounds like you are willing to work hard for it which is great. If I were you I would study hard but depending on how fast you can take all the information in you may want to give yourself more time. For me that would have been way too soon.
I passed my A+ last summer and then like a month later passed the MTA OS fundamentals test(it had alot of stuff I already knew from studying for the A+. Since I passed the MTA test in like August I have been studying for the 680 since then. I hope to take it in the next 2 weeks. So ya, it depends how fast you can learn. I know I had planed on taking it before Christmas but I kinda found out there was alot more to it then I originally thought.
Also, I'm pretty sure Microsoft does their 2nd shot program somewhat frequently. So you may be better off waiting and giving yourself a little more time to suck it all in and waiting for the next 2nd shot promo.
