CSX Practitioner Courses?

I have recently stumbled upon this https://cybersecurity.isaca.org/csx-learning it is a new cert series and was wondering if anyone else has taken or is looking at this?

I haven't noticed the CSX program gaining any traction or momentum within the past year. I could be wrong, though. -

The programs only just started in October of 2015. It would be impossible for them to gain traction in such a short time frame. I have ordered my Training sets but I haven't started yet as I am focusing on CISA, which is time limited as opposed to the CSX. -

I am looking to add the Cybersecurity Fundamentals certification to my list. I don't know if I would add the other certs in the series because of the cost. The Practioner test is $540 for members and the labs are $500. The lab is optional, but makes sense to learn on the tools and software platform that they use in class. The other exams in the CSX series haven't been released yet, so there is no telling what they might cost. I like the stepping stone approach to building your skills and credentials: Fundamentals>Practioner>Specialist>Expert then CISM.
As for the market, only time will tell. ISACA at least has name recognition, so even though the certs don't at this time, it might at the least cause a hiring manager or two to call a prospective employee in so that they can discuss the cert (assuming the HM has time...which many don't). At any rate, I think the $150 price tag for the Fundamentals cert isn't too high a price to pay, even without the industry recognition. Are there better options with a better ROI? Undoubtedly. I just can't think of any that are for the target audience that cost so little.The easiest thing to be in the world is you. The most difficult thing to be is what other people want you to be. ISACA is a pretty well known organization so I assume the content is pretty good. As somebody said, the track just came out this past year but based on the curriculum it looks pretty good. The competition will probably be some of the GIAC certifications since it is a technical track.
