JNCIS-SP advices needed!
Hi guys,
1 year back from not touching to any Juniper devices, now I am going to plan to get JNCIS-SP for next few months. Certainly, I also do want to have a little bit time to get acquainted with the Juniper commands again. Before moving further, I really need your help on how to build up the lab to kick off for getting this cert and your valuable advice as well.
I know that it's going to utilize the MX router series as the main point for SP certs range but I do not own any physical stuffs here, how can I build up a virtual lab? I have tried Google around but only SRX are being used...?!
By the way, besides of Fast Tracks, from your own experiences, is there any recommendation cert guide out there that should be taken to get prepared for this cert ?

Hi,
If you have a PC with a lot of RAM and great CPU, you could utilize Juniper vMX to build your own lab. You can download trial version from vMX Trial Download - Juniper Networks. -

You can get the juniper study material, jncis-sp or ent, And it should cover most of it, but i would recommend looking for the o'rielly books that are out there. With the experience i had with the exams, those books will be more in-depth. Also you could get a few cheap srx's online that would do enough routing and some switching as well as a small EX2200 or 3 if you get a deal on them. I Was never personally fond of virtual labs with juniper since the last time i messed with gns3 and olive it was slow as crap and you still lacked the switching support. If you're planning on going to the IP and IE level you might as well invest a little and get some gear. You could even look into renting time on junosphere, Which is also good for doing routing sims, but again no switching support.
