Took and passed Microsoft exam 74-409 scored an 8xx, officially obtained my MCSA server 2012 title and Microsoft specialist: server virtualization with Windows Server hyper-v and System Center.

Resources used:

- Microsoft Academy and Technet
- MS virtual Labs

74-409 is much easier than 410 or 411.

I will be taking a small break for now, then focusing on the CASP for security certs and to refresh all my CompTIA certs.

Congratulations! I'm looking to take that by the end of next month as well. One question, how long did it take you to study for the exam and how many hours a day/week did you study? Thanks and congratulations again!

I had passed the 411 on the 18th. I started studying for the 74-409 same day, maybe a couple hours a day or less, I did that for about 11 days, then took the exam on the 29th. All I used really, was MS virtual Academy and Technet, like another user on here stated. It really is not that hard, and is much easier than 410, or 411.

Here is the MS virtual academy video:

Then I looked up anything else that I needed clarification on Technet. Also having a couple of years experience with Hyper-v in production environment helped.
