I was able to build a n ESXi6 nanolab on a NUC6i5SYH over the weekend with the info gleaned from the wiki pages. Loving it so far.

Just added a 2nd NUC6i5SYH this week. One day I'll add at least one more.

Hi, the NUC looks like a great value but as always money is a killer for me. I'm an old Novell and Microsoft guy and am venturing into the VMware waters for the first time (aside from Workstation 12.5).

I want to bring up ESXi6 and use the trialware to learn a little something.

Would you (or anyone) be so kind as to look at this spec:
    http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=9969715&CatId=2628

would I have any chance of bringing up ESXi6 on this (of course killing the windows 64 and just using the 64 box)

    couple of questions:

    1. does it have to be an Intel i5 platform?
    2. Does it have to have 16GB of ram (could I get by with 8GB) ?
    3. Can the management console run on the ESXi6 Server or must I have a real home (small) network and connect in from my windows laptop to fully manage ESXi6?

    Thank You
