career path advise

in CISM
Guys,


I have done CISSP and CISA.want to continue in infosec career path. which certification would help me move higher. GSEC vs cism?

    Experience and hard work will make you move higher. If you already have CISA,CISSP what makes you think another cert will allow you to move up? any cert will help if you its in line with your career path. isnt GSEC along the same line as cissp?

    I was under the impression that GISP.

    At this point, career path wise, a specialty cert such as OSCP or ISSAP concentration would be more beneficial.

    What does "move higher" mean? Are you looking to get more money, a different role; technical, managerial? That would help shape the question a bit better. It would also be useful to understand your background and current role.

    GSEC = More Technical CISM = More Managerial You decide which one you want to get, but if you were asking for my advice, I'd throw you into the fire and say get both.
