Topology Design Program?

I look at a lot of threads and I see people posting examples of topologies, or drawing out their personal topology and some of them look really good. I was wondering what programs everyone used.. Are they free?

hmm, first time I heard of Dia, it supports UML as well? I can finally get rid of Poseidon.....

Microsoft Visio 2003.

dia is a part of Open Office for Linux isn't it?
I used it a bit and it was pretty simple.

I think so. I know my co-worker really digs the whole Open Office thing so I don't doubt it's part of that group. Visio 2007 works for me.

I use PowerPoint. I've got a slideshow with TONS of icons already made up and it seems to work great.

Ive not used it that much but can you not extract the topology as a printout in cisco configmaker after you've designed the network? ........You'll get all the pretty icons you want using that!

Depends if you use that for network design in the first place though I guess!

I've got openoffice 2.0 and there's no "Dia" program as standard....however there is a "Draw" and an "Impress" that could probably use both.

I just checked my FC2 box, and I have it listed in the Office menu along with all the OO.org apps (Calc, Draw, Impress, Math and Writer). However, it doesn't seem to be part of OO. Rather it seems to be a stand alone Gnome project:
