I am trying to configure cisco 1200 aironet version 12.3(7)JX.When I am connecting this device to end user with a cross cable...I am not able to get the Ip adress of this acess point..

Is this a new or "used" access point?
The AP will request an IP through DHCP. If that PC on the other end of the crossover cable isn't a DHCP server, then the AP may not have an IP address. If it was previously configured, then you may need a "scanner" to find the IP it's using. That link is to the Frequently Asked Questions (and includes the cable information for connecting through the console port).
