CV / Resume Review
si20
I've been seeking work since the end of August. I thought I had a good CV but I can't seem to get any leads from it. Would anyone mind taking a look at let me know if there is something i've overlooked?
Thank you

Get rid of summary, get rid of the bullets and write a couple of sentences of what you did on each job. Do not put a certificate down (like ITIL) if you didn't get the certification or expecting to take a cert exam. Get rid of the dates for education. That is what hit me right off the bat.

I disagree with scaredoftests. I like the summary and bullets, but I would change them up a bit. For the summary I don't think you need to go into why you're looking. On the employment I'd summarize your duties with a few sentences then use bullets to highlight big projects or accomplishments.

I couldn't review the link, possibly blocked at work...Have you ever considered a video resume? I have been considering it or putting a link on my resume to a video online to discuss what I am looking for in a new position. If you were to do this, I would describe my experiences and projects I have tackled, an overview of my education and certifications, then anything else that may "attract attention" towards hiring me.
Back in the summer, I recall a Colorado energy company (cannot remember name), that actually sent me a link to do a video resume of their website. Apparently, they provide questions, and it records you & your answers.

So I had a question about the certifications listed on si20's resume.
How do you feel about organizing certifications by type like he did? Or would it be better to list them by certifying body?

List them by certifying body.

Yeah, that's what I've been doing. Thanks.
