Where could i find an image for a 2500 with this much memory?

System flash directory:
No files in System flash
[0 bytes used, 4194304 available, 4194304 total]
4096K bytes of processor board System flash (Read/Write)

I have another router but even its slightly too large to transfer across. Ive done a fair amount of googling and have come up with nothing. Kind of frusterating that i bought this equipment and i still cant use it.

I'm not an expert on Cisco IOS, but a quick look at Cisco doesn't bode well for your 4MB flash....

    11.2 General Deployment 4 8
    12.0 General Deployment 6 8
    12.1 General Deployment 8 8

The first number is the minimum DRAM. The second is minimun flash. Unless someone else can come up with a better idea - you might start thinking about upgrading your flash.

That link will tell you all you need to know about upgrading a 2500. You can get 2600's pretty cheap now though, so you may just want to resell or keep the 2500 and get a 2600. You can really do some fun stuff with two routers, at least from a lab standpoint :)

    Good luck!

Hi Seuss, Im presuming from your post that you do know how to upgrade the IOS and you are looking for the actual image!
Images are difficult to find and strictly speaking are not available to just pass around BUT you could use IosHunter to get one. There is a free version and it is really fast.

If you want to know IOS requirements i.e memory and so on you can go over to the Cisco Feature Navigator click on search by image

    Hope it Helps icon_thumright.gificon_thumright.gif
