I passed the IP Telephony Troubleshooting (IPTT) exam today to finish the requirements for the CCVP (Cisco Certified Voice Professional).

WhooHoo

Maybe someday Cisco Press can catch up an put out an exam certification guide or two for the voice exams. icon_eek.gif And maybe finish the flash cards. The Cisco Press IP Telephony Troubleshooing book was good for this exam... along with a couple of the others.

No social life, no TV, multiple caffiene sources, and lots of long late nights studying....

.... and naps during conference calls. Remember to turn up the volume on the computer speakers so teammates can send you IMs to wake you up.... and tell you what was asked. And remember -- you had the mute button on which explains your delay in answering.

Hopefully showing up before the end of the year. I'm still planning on 1 R&S attempt first and then trying to allow for 2 attempts at Security Version 1 before the Jan 2 2007 change to Version 2.... but I might have to rethink that since I got hungup on the CCVP. At least I got some good R&S study in during July.

It looks like I have everything covered in the the blueprint for the IP Telephony Design exam, so that is now scheduled for Monday. That's the last exam I have scheduled -- so I'll be out of excuses not to study every waking moment for the CCIE Labs. icon_eek.gif

Well done all the hard work is payed off, I guess now you will focus on the CCIE lab (s) Security or R&S first? why not do them back to back icon_twisted.gif

Thanks for letting us know which book you used. I have been looking everywhere. Cisco websites never have the book listed for that test. icon_evil.gif I don't know why. Congrats on passing. I'll take iptt next just because I want to learn call-mngr.

No I won't -- they have to grade the exam!! And I'm sure they have security and don't let you hang around after the lab so you can make the proctor grade your lab.

Congratulations Mike. Any advice? I recently passed my CCNA (horray!) Going for CCVP now, starting off with QOS, what did you do for labs? You have access to routers, IP phones, etc?

There aren't that many posts in the CCVP forum....

CCVP Books thread hasn't been updated since Aug 22nd, so you might have to page down to that one.... otherwise the equipment threads are up near the top. This one has what I used..... but there are a couple of other threads that might have some more stuff. I linked to some VIC card stuff in this thread.

IPExpert has added some CCVP products, which may or may not have labs.... but I think I posted something like -- "I did whatever I was reading about that I had the equipment for."
