After 90 minutes of feeling like my heart was about to rip out my chest, I passed. It was much harder than I thought it would be. I was bombarded with a ton of performance based questions in the beginning, some of the took a good amount of time to think through, so I skipped them until the end. But I think I did pretty well on them.

I used

Darril Gibson's book.
Glen E Clarke's book + the corresponding practice exam book for it. ( this combination was my favorite)
Some online practice tests ( the first one that comes up on google )
And finally I kinda sped through Keith Barker's CBT nuggets videos to clarify on some harder to understand concepts.

And of course this forum, cause I would have never thought about buying Darril's book, which I felt was the best thing to read over before the test.

    Hello MashoTG,

    Congratulations! you have passed security+ exam. Now a days, i m preparing for exam i have a question if you read all below mention tutorials then still you got tough exam.

    are these materials are not enough for pass the exam ?

    kindly suggest..

    Yeah same pass to me a lot of PBQ at the first time jeje will retake in 2 months.. :D

    They are enough. I say read both those books and do ALOT of practice tests. Memorize your acronyms and port numbers. If you can memorize all the acronyms, you can eliminate many of the incorrect answers from your question.

    I also glossed over Keith Barker's CBT nuggets as well, to clear up any shaky information.
