What is the hardest topic to study for CCNA?

To date: OSPF is far and away the hardest topic for me. I'm a little surprised that it's not on the vote. Okay, I can see that 'Routing Protocols' are, but RIP is a walk in the park when compared to OSPF (I.M.H.O).

WAN Protocols (Frame Relay, ISDN, PPP, etc.)

IPv6 and all associated protocols and 'ng' (OSPFv3, RIPng...etc) + all changes which came around ithas always been a type.

In the old program CCNAv2, there was a section on fine tunning OSPF (timers, redistribution, LSAs)

Troubleshooting layer 2 problems....

From ICND2 v3 I've found PPPoE and SNMP config to be the hardest to absorb. I've gone through the offical cert guide twice now and I'm comfortable with everything but I've got a bit more work to do before I can configure and troubleshoot those topics without any help.

I'm glad I don't need to do frame relay however I still see it in the CCNP exam topics.

IPv6 for me. We don't use it where I work and I touch a lot of the other stuff.

I would say WAN technology. It is require knowledge and experience to have better understanding . Everything else you can learn it and apply it with simulation

1.) Subnetting/supernetting

2.) ACLs

For me it's IPV6 and ACLs.

Learning all the commands and making sure their right when you do the exam can be a hard task to do. Lots of practice with a cisco virtual switch and router which you can use in a official lab and you should be good.

Absolutely! LAN gives more accessible experiences for learning than WAN, making it easier for beginners to understand networking basic rules.
