I read the book in the sticky. I watched CBT nugget videos.

20 hours in the last two days.

I can't find any practice tests.

How much longer should I study before I attempt this test? (70-697)

William Panek's 70-697 book has 10-20 questions after each section, plus you get access to another 100 or so on the WIley website. Not bad for the cost of the book (around $40 I think). I read lots of tech net articles and also signed up for a free trial of Intune and played with that for a bit. For every exam objective, find the tech net article and read up on it. You don't have to remember every detail, but you do have to know the general steps for things - like setting up a virtual smart card or enabling bitlocker.

I wouldn't have passed by just reading the book and doing practice questions. I learned a lot from technet and actually playing with Intune and clicking around in Settings and Control Panel. I spent about 6 weeks studying (an hour or so most nights and 3-4 hours on the weekends), which was probably overkill but I haven't taken an cert test since the NT days.
