Any video series to pick up hands on knowledge of practical part

kabooterkabooter Member Posts: 115
Is there a video series available anywhere (free or paid) that actually demonstrates the practical training required for Sec+?
By practical training I mean it shows exactly how to perform a man in the middle attack, run vulnerability scanner, analyze traffic or logs etc. I know individual videos covering above all up on youtube and safaribooks but how about a single series of videos covering Sec+ only?

It's great you're wanting to know how to perform these tasks, but just remember for the Sec+ exam you don't need to know how to perform them. Just the theory behind them.

Its true that one does not need much of hands on experience for exam but I would like to have some hands on experience. That is the only way I can feel more confident that I know what I am talking about.
If anyone knows of any source that one can view to get a good idea about Pen Testing and Vuln Scans please share it here. Thank you

You need to look at elearnsecurity and they PTS course, it covers all that plus hands on labs. Udemy also has some courses that people on this forum have tried and liked.

I took this exam and I really didn't need any videos. All I really needed was darril's book. If you want labs IT pro tv has labs.

Here is the link for Darrils book:

    Thank you for replying.
I am not worried about the actual exam. My interest is to see in practice what the books cover. I tried to get hands on experience for sec+ labs but it has been a fruitless, frustrating search. No one seems to have the labs set up. And one or two that had it wanted $1000 for a day!
I will certainly check out some of the sites mentioned in this thread for videos. Meanwhile if anyone comes across any videos covering hands on exercises of sec+ or even CEH please post them here.
    Thanks again

Pass Sec+ then you can get hired somewhere and get all the hands on experience you want and more.
