Interesting couple of weeks..

Well, the president of the company I worked for (who is in the middle of a bitter divorce with his wife)..decides to flee the country, and decides he needs alot of cash..where oh where can he get it? The company! Last week, I was laid off and the company is no more. I have been looking for another job anyway, but still. Anyway, I had a second phone interview with a company that I talked to earlier in the month. That occurred last Thursday. I got an offer yesterday.

Wow, you lucked out on that! I was laid off in July last year - took me 4 months to even find a position. I live in a really big city in the US. I applied for many, many positions. Didn't really start hearing back until the end of month 3. Then I had 3 offers in one day. Figures.
