I have this book on my shelf; bought it when it was released.
A lot of the content is very Google specific, and the book has a few issues w/ tone. However, I definitely recommend this book.Goals for 2018:

I agree, It was a good read for the most part. It definitely reads like an internal manual at times but there is some pretty good content in there that can be applied elsewhere.“I do not seek answers, but rather to understand the question.”
